Haiti News – April 2025

Here are details regarding how to get more information about Hands and Feet Project, and about Randy and Denise’s visit to Rochester, New York.

Hands and Feet Project Information

Do you ever wish you knew more information about Hands and Feet Project (H&FP), the amazing organization that we work with as missionaries to Haiti? We have shared the H&FP web site and posts from their Facebook page fairly frequently. There’s also their Instagram feed and YouTube videos page, and now…there’s a podcast! It’s called, “Project Red”. Project Red is more than a podcast—it’s a message, a vision, and a call to action. The first episode is already available, where Mark Stuart, Will McGinniss and Patrick Austin sit down and talk about the past, present and future of Hands and Feet Project. They also talk about the meaning of the Project Red name. These guys are all fun, entertaining and informative. Check it out and subscribe to get notifications about upcoming episodes. You can find the podcast episodes on Apple Podcast, YouTube, Amazon Music, and Spotify.

Plans to Visit Rochester, New York

For all of our friends, family and amazing supporters around the Rochester, New York area, we will be there the last few days of April and the first week in May. Our visit only spans 1 weekend, so that means that our open house will be on Friday, May 2nd. Save the date! As we shared in our last newsletter, this visit is shorter than usual because we are heading to Missouri in late May for Forrest and Alexandra’s wedding! We are so excited for them to begin their journey together as a married couple! Please keep them in your prayers as they finalize plans for the wedding and look towards their future together.

Haiti And the News

Unfortunately, the media does not have much good news to report about Haiti. The gangs are growing stronger, and there are articles about gangs possibly attempting to overthrow the government. There are more and more people displaced every day, and facing an uncertain future. Even the Miami Herald acknowledges that good news about Haiti is rare.

Despite the challenges, the regions of Jacmel and Grand Goave where we work are still relatively peaceful. Most supplies are still available, and we sometimes change the menus based on food availability, but God continues to provide ways for us to meet the needs of the children and families in the programs of the Hands and Feet Project.

Please continue to pray for Haiti and for all the amazingly resilient people who live there. Pray for a pathway to peace to be revealed and implemented. Pray for the faith of the Haitian people to grow stronger, and for the Christian churches to expand their reach and impact in their neighborhoods. It’s also important to pray for the safety and boldness of the pastors in the Christian churches. God has a plan for Haiti, and we pray that a path to peace comes to fruition soon!
